These data were collected by students at Morehouse College in Fall 2019. 

Beetles were reared on black-eyed peas. 

Beetles were from the LB and SI strains adapted to their host bean for many generations.

Beetles were males.

Beetles were adults.

Beetles were surface-sterilized.

Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits.

Sequences are for the v4 region.

MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs.
