These data were collected by Jada Hoyle-Gardner at Morehouse College in Fall 2024. Beetles were adult females reared on blackeye peas. Controls beetles were in a dish at 25¡C for 3-hours with a cotton ball soaked in DI-water (N=10)and neem oil exposed beetles (n=10)were in a dish at 25¡C for 3-hours with a cotton ball soaked in DI-water containing neem oil (0.5mL neem oil in 9.5mL water). There were no negative control samples. Beetles were from the SI-3 strain adapted to their host bean for many generations. Beetles were adult females. Beetles were surface-sterilized. DNA was extracted 2-days after control water or neem oil exposure. Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits. Sequences are for the v4 region. MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs. All these data are from a single sequencing run. For more information, contact Lawrence Blumer lawrence.blumer@morehouse.edu .
