These data were collected by Dr. Anna Zelaya at Emory University in Fall 2021. Beetles were reared on black-eyed peas (N=25). Data set also includes a negative control (N=1). Beetles were either virgin (N=14) or mated (N=11). Virgin samples were of three ages: 1 day (N=4), 7 days (N=5), and 14 days (N=5). Mated samples were of two ages: 7 days (N=5), and 14 days (N=6). Beetles were from the LB strain adapted to their host bean for many generations. Beetles were females. Beetles were adults. Beetles were surface-sterilized.
