These data were collected by Ethell Vereen and Dwann Davenport at Morehouse College in Spring 2024.
Beetles were offspring reared on blackeye peas(N=6)and adzuki beans (N=7)whose mothers host bean was blackeye peas, and offspring reared on blackeye peas (N=11) and adzuki beans (N=10) whose mothers host bean was adzuki beans.  Data set also includes two negative controls.
Beetles were from the SI-3 strain for BEP and LB for adzuki and adapted to their host bean for many generations prior to eggs laid on either blackeye peas or adzuki beans.
Beetles were adult males and females or unknown.
Beetles were surface-sterilized.
Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits.
Sequences are for the v4 region.
MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs.  All these data are from a single sequencing run. Metadata and Sequence Sample ID notation is "Mothers host.Offspring host".
