These data were collected by students at Fayetteville State University in Fall 2022. 

Beetles were reared on black-eyed peas.

Beetles were from the LB strain adapted to their host bean for many generations.

Beetles were females.

Beetles were adults.

Beetles were surface-sterilized.

Half of the beetles were extracted using the standard extraction with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits. The other half of the beetles were extracted using the Dneasy Gram + Protocol Using Enzymatic Lysis Buffer Including Lysozyme

Sequences are for the v4 region.

MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs.
