These data were collected by Regina McGrane at the University of Iowa in Fall 2023.
Beetles were reared on Blackeye peas.  Data set also includes one negative control. Some beans were mixed with soil prior to presentation to beetles (N=12) and other were presented to beetles without prior soil exposure (N=12).
Beetles were from the LB strain adapted to their host bean for many generations.
Beetles were adult both males and females.
Beetles were surface-sterilized.
Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits.
Sequences are for the v4 region.
MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs.
