These data were collected by students at Allegheny College in Fall 2022. Beetles were reared on black-eyed peas. For samples from yard-long beans, females from black-eyed pea cultures were allowed to oviposit on yard-long beans and emerged adults were collected for sequencing. Beetles were from the LB strain adapted to their host bean for many generations. Beetles were both male and females. Beetles were adults. Beetles were surface-sterilized. Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits. Sequences are for the v4 region. MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs. For more information, contact Catharina Coenen at ccoenen@allegheny.edu.
