These data were collected by Dr. Tricia Humphreys and students at Allegheny College in Spring 2023.
Beetles were reared on yard long beans and collected from mass culture. Beans were either sterilized or not. Males (N=5) and females (N=4) were collected.  Data set also includes one negative control.
Beetles were almost certainly mated.
Beetles were from the LB strain raised on Black-eye peas for many generations and then raised for one generation on yard long beans.
Beetles were adults.
Beetles were surface-sterilized.
Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits.
Sequences are for the v4 region.
MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs.
