These data were collected by Dr. Lawrence Blumer and students at Morehouse College in Fall 2022. Beetles were reared on blackeye peas and collected as virgins (N=10). Eggs were laid on sterile glass beads approximately 6 beads/sample (N=8). Data set also includes two negative controls for adults labeled NC.1.1 and NC.1.2 and two negative controls for eggs labeled NC.2.1 and NC.2.2 (N=4). Beetles were virgins. Beetles were from the LB strain adapted to their host bean for many generations. Beetles were females. Beetles were adults. Eggs samples from eggs laid on glass beads. Beetles and eggs were surface-sterilized. Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits. Sequences are for the v4 region. MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs.
