These data were collected by Dr. Melissa Stanukinas and students at Morton College in Spring 2024.
Maternal beetles were reared on organic or traditionally raised black-eyed peas and offspring that were sequenced were reared on traditionally raised black-eyed peas.
Beetles were a mix of males and females. Maternal beetles from organic BEP (N=8) and traditional BEP (N=8).
Beetles were almost certainly mated.
Beetles were adults.
Beetles were from the LB strain.
Beetles were surface-sterilized.
Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits.
Sequences are for the v4 region.
MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs.
