These data were collected by Dr. Anna Zelaya at Emory University in Spring 2021. Beetles were reared on black-eyed peas (N=22) in two family sets containing siblings and both parents. Each family set also includes a negative control (N=2). Incubation was at room temperature on benchtop. Beetles from family 1 (N=13) include male siblings (N=4), female siblings (N=6), both parents and a negative control. Beetles from family 2 (N=11) include male siblings (N=7), a female sibling (N=1), both parents and a negative control. Beetles were from the LB strain adapted to their host bean for many generations. Beetles were adults. Beetles were surface-sterilized. Beetles were extracted with QIAGEN DNA-Easy kits. Sequences are for the v4 region. MiSeq sequencing was done by MrDNA labs.
